Hello, So far the past 5 years, I have been working extremely hard and saving most my income and now I have finally reached the £100k mark!! I was just what would be best to do with the money. To be completely honest, I am not sure why I decided to save, I just kind of got addicted and also have a very strange relationship…

sorry, only just seen this.. just making the point that if i was happy with where my £100k cash was stashed, and it was with HSBC, Barclays.. i wouldn't be concerned enough to need to bring that down to £85k to come under the FSCS threshold.
