Hi guys
My hoover has a little valve on the handle that you can open to allow air in there. I assume they all do?
My question is what's it for and when you should have it open / closed..?!

It's to lower the pressure so you can go over curtains, bedding, etc etc without getting them sucked right up into the machine.
You know if you need to use it because you have something partially up the vac if you did not.0
