Sorry for being a bit slow ( old user ) dont quite understand that last bit ( unless you only have £2.5K )

    Thanks

If you don't have both accounts filled (say £1500 in one, £1k in the other) it doesn't matter how long the £500 sit in one account before being paid into the second as you'll always get interest on it (both accounts don't go over £2k).

If you've got £2k in both though you'll want to transfer in and out on the same day as otherwise you'll have £1.5k in one and £2.5k in the second, I.e losing interest on £500 until it's moved back again.

Ah thanks ... I hadn't made that distinction - does requesting paperless on statements doesn't fullfill the paperless requirement for interest ?

    Yes it does

Did you read this post, only 2 above your earlier post?
You can put the money in straight away - the 'paperless correspondence' isn't available yet, so the interest is earned on the basis that 'paperless statements' has been chosen (provided you also meet the £500 monthly funding requirement - which the £2000 deposit will do for the first month).

Remember, too, that you can also open a 2nd Classic Plus.
