If you don't have both accounts filled (say £1500 in one, £1k in the other) it doesn't matter how long the £500 sit in one account before being paid into the second as you'll always get interest on it (both accounts don't go over £2k).
If you've got £2k in both though you'll want to transfer in and out on the same day as otherwise you'll have £1.5k in one and £2.5k in the second, I.e losing interest on £500 until it's moved back again.0 -
