WSL: Kameleon 4in1 remotes half price plus 2.4ghz sender Dixons in store

Noticed the Kameleon 4in1 remote has been reduced again in Dixons from £49.99 to £24.99 in store plus they also had a Matsui 2.4ghz wireless audio video sender for £9.99.

Anyone have one of these Kameleons as i was thinking of getting one. Are they as good as they look and do they actually work.

Yeah I been thinking the same. As far as I know there are two version of this 4-1. I did hear that the old one was heavy on batteries, but there was some way you could improve on this. Theres another version (think Argos have it) that has a builtin modem, but its expensive

It looks like the one on Dixons is the old one as I dont remember the one in Argos looking like the one in dixons.

The £69.99 one in Argos is £59.99 in Dixons online plus whatever codes you can use.

    Battery life discussion here http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=149391&highlight=kameleon

It mentions that if you buy the older model you can contact kameleon and they will send out the newer model.

I picked up five of the Kameleons last time they were on offer at this price, and although the batterries are a nightmare the remotes themselves are very good. They are a nice in between if you don't want the expense of a touch screen but fancy something nicer than the buttoned options.

Currys also have them for £24.99 they are the rev.1 as I have just bought one.
Rev. 3 is out now and according to a AV forum Kameleon will replace it with
rev. 3 if you have problems with batteries.

The AV sender seems like a good price - I could use on of them at the moment. But will it interfere with my Wireless network??? This is also on 2.4Ghz.
Anyone used an AV sender with a wireless network in the house????

I have a 2.4GHz video sender and also a wireless network. The network tends to interfere with the video sender rather than the other way around. A few picture glitches every now and then.

Yes, you will find that the WiFi will interfere with the AV sender, rather than the other way around. However, you can fiddle with the channels on both devices and should find a combination that will work. It does vary though so I sometimes end up switching off my router when I am watching the tele in the other room.
