I took my daughter (and her friends) to the One direction concert at the Etihad stadium in Manchester last night, all was fine except for the fact that they never came on stage until 8.30pm!, and the gates opened at 5pm !! Bearing in mind the majority of the fans were young (and with their Mums), this was quite late, especially when we had to leave before the end because we had to be at the station to catch the last train home to Wales, a real shame for over £50 a ticket. Despite this the girls all had a great time, but all said Zayn could've made a bit more of an effort and not looked so miserable and going through the motions

Were they late coming on stage ?
My niece went to see them on Wednesday and they didn't come on until 8pm but that was the time stated on the website. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Maybe he'd just woken up?
Does sound a bit silly for the headliner for a kids show to cone on at 8.30 - with a full set and encore that's 10:30 at least, which is well into grown ups time. Maybe they'd been doing press and promo all day and just got back - they are worked hard for sure.0 -
Don't think I've been to a concert where the headline acts been on stage that early !

Maybe not - but this is the Praise, Vent & Warnings board and the OP is just having a vent.
Nothing in the rules to say that the vent has to be reasonable.0 -
You're absolutely right! Just wanted to throw my two pence in0

it was only 50p to see the Pistols in the Winter Gardens, Cleethorpes in 1976. And there was no hanging around.
Besides, just seen the Tiger Lilies at the Bristol Old Vic, seats cost £5. And they do not have support acts!0 -
Zain is most likely in a mood, due to the managers and agents giving him a Bo***cking for the spliff incident.
Not good PR for the tiny fans and after all, A 'Celebrity' doesn't like to be told off ! ( poor wee lamb) ( halal of course)0
