Two questions.
When using my Aqua card does the available balance reflect that or does it take a day to update?
When I make a payment does that reflect my available balance or does it take a few days to update?
Many thanks

Depends on whether the transaction was in real time or not. Some outlets will have a delay, particularly online.0

Immediately when debits are added but appears on the on-line interface the next day.
Same applies to payments which are deducted when received and appear on the on-line interface the next day.
For example these days I pay by transfer from my bank by faster payments which appears on my Aqua on-line interface the next day but bears the date of the previous day.0 -
So now I have £384 in my account. I paid £116 today. Would this reflect that or in reality is it £500?0

The credits and debits shown on the right-hand side are taken into account when available balance is calculated. If a credit or debit is not shown on the right-hand side then you will have to do your own math and you will either have to add or subtact from the available balance.
Pretty obvious really..0 -

Get out your calculator and enter your previous statement balance and then deduct credits and add debits and then compare your total with the available balance and you have your answer.
Just because it works in a particular way for me doesn't mean it works the same way for you.0 -
When you make a purchase, it is usually removed from you available balance immediately and is not available to spend elsewhere, and will show on your statement within a day or two.
When you make a faster payment to Aqua, it is added to your available balance and is available to spend usually instantly, but will not show on your statement for a day or two.
Other methods of paying Aqua are slower, i.e. via debit card.0 -

Thank you. I paid via Debit card so am I right in saying this will not be shown yet on my available balance?0 -
