PPI claim PLEASE HELP

A couple of years ago I stupidly got Belmont Thornton to look into potential PPI claims. I got one pay out of around £20 for one credit card but for my other card I kept getting mail (on a very regular almost harassing basis) asking for additional information I did not have. I binned the letters and contacted them to stop sending them and they did become less frequent.
Then I saw Martin Lewis on the tv a few months ago saying that a form from CCP (?) wasn't junk mail but a free way of getting money refunded. I completed and returned it and was overjoyed when a cheque for £600 arrived direct from the bank. A few days later however I have received a bill from Belmont for a large percentage of this PPI claim for the same bank but this stated the amount recovered was for £650.00
Does anyone know if I need to pay Belmont even although I'm not sure (and don't think) it was them who recovered the money? Unfortunately I don't have the initial Belmont contract or proof that I asked them to stop working on my behalf.
Grateful for all advice. T

Ask them to send you proof you have to pay.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Unfortunately, many CMCs do have it written into their legally-binding contracts that the customer agrees to have the company represent them in any future PPI complaints.
It's yet another reason not to use them.0 -
CCP is not PPI - so it may not apply.0
