PPI questionairre answers

Trying to fill out an online PPI claim form on barclays and it says the folowing.
' For example, please tell us any details you remember about :

Where the sale took place and who you spoke to at the Barclays business (e.g. Barclays Bank, Barclaycard, Firstplus, First Data, Littlewoods, Goldfish or Egg).
  • The information you were given before you took out this insurance.
  • How the cost, benefits and terms of the insurance were explained to you.
  • The questions you asked before taking out this insurance.
  • Why you decided to take out this insurance.'

Now i havnt a clue about what policies i may have had, where they are or the terms, all i know is that i presumed that cover was taken out within the loan/card etc. I can't really leave it blank.

then i get the
And finally, please tell us why you are now unhappy with the insurance? '

Do i repeat what i mentioned above.

Usually i'm pretty good at complaining and form filling but this question has thrown me a bit.

You cannot fill in the form until you know for sure that you had PPI. How can you complain about the sale of something you are not even certain you had?

Before proceeding any further, you need to do some research. Initially, you should contact the Bank and simply ask them directly if you had PPI. Do you really think it fair to write a "complaint" without any reason? Others with genuine complaints are being delayed by speculative complaints like yours which tie up the PPI departments unnecessarily.

Not speculative, hence me asking the above question first

i'll do some more digging over the paperwork, if i have any and give the bank a call.

edit - i have phoned them and my suspicions were founded, all dealt with over the phone

    thanks for the help
