2 x TSB accounts

Hi

I opened a 5% Classic Plus account with TSB and how have it all set up. I saw on here that you are allowed to open another one - my question is, how? Do I just apply from scratch again and get another card and online login details, or is there a way to do it through my existing online banking?

Thanks

If you read the other TSB Plus threads (there are several!) you'll see some people have reported having to apply again whilst NOT logged into online banking. Their systems then lump both accounts together under the same original account log in.

    ... provided your detail match!

If you opened a/c 1 as John Charles Smith and a/c 2 as John C Smith they won't merge.

Similarly if your address is not identical (eg an optional house name + the number) they won't merge.

I applied the same way as for the first, I.e. On their website but not bring logged on. The new account showed in my online banking right away.
Wouldn't work for me through online banking.

Don't know for sure, but would think they would class it as half each.
Ask on the benefits board, ppl there more likely to know.
