Nice place to eat? Have a Taste Card. Not too expensive! Anything to do? Any suggestions apreciated.

The Mandolay is a short walk from the top of the highstreet I believe. You'll be close to GLive (an entertainment venue) so you might be able to catch a show as well.
With regards to food there are a few places nearby. Cau, Pizza Express, Zizzis (Italian), or Prezzo,. You'd probably have to book if you wanted to get into Prezzo though as it can be quite busy. Zizzis and Prezzo are nice. I can't say I've tried the other 2 but Cau is meant to be nice (It's an argentine steak house). There's also a Subway and McDonalds (but I'm not sure they were quite what you were looking for). (5-10 mins walk from where you're staying)
In the middle there is a slug and lettuce or tgi fridays. (maybe 15 mins walk)
At the other end of the town is a Jamies Italian, Wagammas or FiveGuys. (20 mins walk).
If you're looking for pubs then the George Abbot or Britannia right at the other end of town (down the highstreet and a bit further) are meant to be good (And serve food although I'm not sure what time they stop on a Sunday).
There's a few food places but they mainly seem to be Italian. Also Guildford is not exactly famed for it's nightlife I'm afraid. Not a massive amount happens on a sunday and the buses are not the best (especially on a sunday).
It's a nice place but it does seem more of a sleepy town sometimes than something approaching a city.
By the way my walking is not exactly the fastest so you'll probably be able to get to these places quicker.
Hope you have a good time.

Guildford is quite pretty and famed for it's cobbled high street, there is a castle which you can walk around (not sure how much it costs) and they normally have beautiful flowers in and around the grounds (which are free to enter), also walking along the river at the bottom of town is very picturesque.
(I appreciate these are daytime activities but you may be able to squeeze something in).

This has been a big help to me too. I m going to Guildford in early August. We are seeing a show at Glive on the Saturday night but have the whole of Sunday including the evening to entertain ourselves.0

You're virtually across the road from the Slug and Lettuce which has an open mic night on a Sunday, with a really chilled out atmosphere. Or a short walk from G Live depending on what they have on. Depends what's your thing reallyhey there's no money but we couldn't be happier if we tried
