Returning a sealed item with a defaced reciept

So I bought this game from tesco around a week ago, not knowing that my mum had already bought it for me. My little sister then nicely drew on the reciept. The product is exactly as I purchased it, I haven't touched it, but the reciept is not. Will they/ do they have to, give my money back?
Thanks

Assuming Tesco's policy is to offer refunds on games, I would have thought it would be fine, if most of the pertinent information is there.

Not sure on Tesco policy though.

No retailer is obliged to give you a refund. They may do but they could also offer you a credit note.
I cant see a problem with Tesco, as long as the details are legible, you should be okay.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

As long as she hadn't obliterated certain information possibly the transaction number, it should be fine

Return it with your mum's receipt? That's if you can under their return policy?

I was thinking the same - get your mum to return "hers" as they are identical.
