I'm buying a new kitchen and was suggested to buy a Range Master Dual Fuel cooker. I explained to the lady from Wickes that I wanted some kind of range cooker and she included a Leisure Dual Fuel in her Quote. Nothing wrong with that. I'm just wondering if the people on here have any knowledge on the Leisure cooker and how it compares to the Range Master? The Leisure is quite a bit cheaper. Any opinions/advice? Thanks.

Hi
I would steer clear of cheap range cookers. The manufacturers priorities are to make them 'look good' rather than to 'cook well'. So if you want a range cooker for 'the look' in your kitchen then fine but in this lower end of the range cooker market my advice would always be not to.
IMO to get a decent range cooker then you really need to be spending several £1,000's on the likes of a Lacanche, as these are built to order as serious cookers and will last pretty much forever.
The alternative to a cheaper range cooker I would advise is a mid market built in oven or 2 and a decent hob. You would be spending around the same money as a cheap range cooker but get something that will be good at cooking!0 -
