Hello da_rule and Coupon-mad
Before I appeal against my 'PCN' I wanted to double check something. After parking, I asked two 'civil enforcement officers' about parking there (i.e. the exact place on the road). Both confirmed that it was fine to park there. Yet shortly after they issued their 'ticket'. I'm pretty sure they'd now deny it.
Is this worth mentioning or should I stick to the template?
Many thanks.
You need to start your own thread, but just a quick answer on this one first, then further advice.
Was this a council PCN or a private parking company PCN?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Hi
I am new to the forum. I know you are going to be mad at me for jumping in here but like another recent poster i genuinely can't see a link to post a new thread.
I received a UK CPS LTD PCN last week, haven't done anything yet. Have read the newbie sticky thread. Just a wee bit confused. The newbie sticky thread states to appeal but am sure have also read this morning that I should wait for them to write to me? Hulme st car park manchester. Signs not visible from driver seat and only about size a4, possible slightly larger. No big sign as you go in to car park.
I will go back to newbie sticky thread and try again but would be very grateful if you could just clarify the point above please.
Many thanks in advance and for the great posts about beating these shysters!!0 -
An inch or so above where you found the Newbies sticky there's a big blue button that says "New Thread" on it.Je suis Charlie.0

I have a company car leased through a 3rd party.
The 3rd party sent me a copy of a PCN 2months after it had been issued.
I contacted the Euro car parks who sent me photographic evidence of the ticket on my windscreen. They have refused to enter into any dialogue as they have passed the matter on to a debt recover company.
The ticket was issued to my car at 14:02 however, when I returned some 6 hours later there was no PCN attached to my car.
The first I became aware of the PCN some 2 months later all the deadlines for appeal had passed.
I was in the wrong,I had paid £3 for a days parking but failed to notice that the charge had increased to £3.50.
I asked to pay the £35 penalty and even volunteered to pay the increased £70 as the appeal date had passed
The debt recover company are now insisting I pay £130 or they are recommending Euro car parks take legal action.
The photo of the PCN only shows it secured on the bottom left hand corner with over 85% of the PCN unsecured.
Should I pay or take my chances going to court?
Many thanks0 -
Don't pay, your chances of 'going to court' are minimal (and this would a civil case, not a criminal one, so no need to quake at the knees).
Ignore debt collectors - see NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #4 for all you need to know about debt collectors (they can't take you to court, only the PPC or the landowner can).
If you get a LBA or MCOL (see sticky for acronyms), come back, but please, if you are to come back, start a new thread of your own, where advice specific to your case can be contained in one place.
