Halifax Clarity Card: Additional Cardholder

Earlier this year I added one of my children as an additional cardholder (for use overseas during a gap-year). At the time I was assured I would be able to distinguish which card had been used for a given transaction.
I now find that this information is absent from both on-line and paper statements. I've formally complained to the Bank because its absence makes it more difficult to scrutinize past transactions. In conversation the Bank has told me no-one else has raised this matter before. Incidentally I've just received £55 for my efforts.
Barclaycard (as an example) do provide this information and I'm amazed that Halifax are able to offer the additional cardholder facility without making this information available.
I'm posting this to alert others to this (IMHO) major deficiency and, if you feel likewise, to encourage you to also complain so we can get this fixed.

Unlike Barclaycards, all extra Halifax cards are identical to the main card, i.e. have the same card number and the same CVV. I guess this makes it next to impossible to distinguish them when the are used.
I don't think that they will 'fix' this because of some complaints. You did have a ground for complaining simply because you were misadvised. Otherwise it would have been 'take it or leave it' case.0 -
In my experience, Barclaycard and Amex are the only companies that list the different cardholder transactions. Every other card I have had just combine the transactions whether the card numbers are the same or not.
Maybe the card number CVV is only the same if the two cards were issued together.0 -
Indeed, my two identical cards were issued together in 2012.
Aqua cards are identical too. So are Nationwide cards.
I recall in the past some two identical cards had been canceled together when one was reported lost (hardly a surprise).0 -
Really ? My experience suggests otherwise: my son's card (issued April 2014) has a different number and CVV to mine.
This is also true for mine and my daughter's cards (different card numbers and CVVs) obtained around the same time (April 2014).
The online banking does not show which card was used. Still not had a statement yet to see if that shows more information.MFiT-T3 #149: {Q4/14} (£46,447)-->(£0) ~ +£46,447=100%

We have additional cards on each others Clarity accounts, all the numbers are identical, as are the validity dates.0

How difficult can it be to remember if you made a transaction or not?0
