Hair Stripper

  • A professional hair colour should only touch the false pigment that you have put in your hair with the use of dyes in the past. Biggest issue is that most people dont use enough stripper when doing it at home, dont rinse for long enough and dont apply it evenly enough, often resulting in a patchy and not great end result. In addition, the process can sometimes require a repeat process.
The condition ( and colour) of the virgin hair should not be affected and with the top line products, can often leave the hair feeling n better condition.
Jobs like this should be left to a professional in an ideal world. Dong at home may prove to be a false economy in the long run especially if you have anything longer than say a chin length bob with average thickness of hair.

    Hope that helps.

I left a similar post on here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4982988

Ok, I have now used the Colour B4 Colour, the extra strength one. Amazed at the very dark brown/black colour that it has lifted at the crown-top of my head including fringe and quite alot of it too more or less half way down. I am now left with a very warm auburny colour but the tips are a very dark brown, instead of the browny black colour which I hated.

Ok, it did stink of rotting egg, but didn't put me off. I followed the instructions in applying it and washing it off...wowww did my arm ache rinsing rinsing in the shower. After washing the solution (mix of bottles A & B) hair was left very conditioned, felt like I had used my intensive conditioner at this stage. BUT, when I used the buffer (bottle C) which is basically like shampoo, it was when I started rinsing that the hair texture felt rough and awful and couldn't even run my fingers through my hair while rinsing this off:(.

Nevertheless, after the 2nd rinsing..I did use my own conditioner and rinsed it as normal and towel dried and blow dried it..end result..VERY PLEASED!!

Did this yesterday evening and can't smell the rotting eggy smell today. All in all would try that process again if I had to change hair colour again.:)

P.S I have long hair, medium texture, average condition and used the 1 box instead of 2. Also googled various utube vid clips and info before trying Colour B4.
