Bit of an update , wife now sees sense and agreed to defer pension , she is phoning up tomorrow to organise it for 2 yrs .
I want to withdraw/close the 2013/14 cash ISA and use the cash to set up the TSB accounts ( already have the Flexplus ) , do I just withdraw the full amount to my current acount or do I have to ask Nationwide to make the interest up to date and then withdraw/close ?

    TIA

If you really mean you already have a FlexPlus, you should be looking at getting the FlexDirect for yourself, your wife, and a joint one.

You should ask Nationwide to close your ISA and pat the lot, with the applicable interest, into one of your current accounts.

I don't know how much money you have to put into current accounts but since the FlexDirect only lasts for a year, you should make provisions for the money in 12 months time. If your other current accounts are full, it might be worth opening one or two BoS Vantage accounts whilst they are still open for applications. They might not last for long either but at least you would be ready to use them if they did.

Sorry yes I meant Flexdirect with the £2500 in , just opened 2 x TSB Classic Plus A/c's and deposited £2000 in each . Take your point re the Flexdirect in 12 months time .

    Thanks
