My credit report shows an old Capital One card i had in 2005 that i believed was closed in 2008, but is still showing as £200 outstanding and a default date of Aug 2008. Not totally worried as i know this drops of my file soon BUT they've never chased me for it, it was from when i lived with my parents and I've never had any letters or phone calls there. Even more weird i have taken out another Capital One card in 2011 with no problem whatsoever. Do i pay it or keep my mouth shut?

I would keep your mouth shut, its about to drop off in a couple of months the debt however still exists and can still be chased after that date.
However after 6 years you can say its statute barred so long as they haven't made a reasonable effort to chase you for it if someone decides to pursue it.-== CREDIT BUILD IN PROCESS 30% COMPLETE ==-
