We've learnt that when balance transfering we are more likely to be successful if we dont apply to another card owned by the same people as the one we are transfering to.
Is there a comprehensive list somewhere, so that its possible to avoid this pitfall?
Thanks

RBS/Nat.West/Ulster Bank/ + RBS operate the Tesco card.
Halifax/Bank of Scotland/ + B of S operate the Sainsbury's Bank cards.
(The supermarkets set the conditions under which their own cards are operated).
MBNA - operate cards for a number of financial institutions including Alliance & Leicester.
I think that although Nationwide B.S. have their own credit card department their cards are issued by RBS who send out the statements & process payments as well.0 -

I know that Alliance & Leicester and Virgin are the same group (MBNA i think it is). Direct LIne card is RBS.0
