switching my gas and elec.......
can anybody recommend a new gas and electricity supplier to me please, i am currently with british gas for both supplys and am probably paying through the nose for this service. i was wondering if its better to split the two and use different companies.... is it cheaper to switch??.... and is it quite a long drawn out complicated process... i am new to this board so appologies if i sound a bit dim on all of this... any advice is greatly appreciated..

Welcome lordi.... the stickie notices up top should explain things. Energyhelpline are a recommended comparison site, just google. Unit prices are often cheaper using different companies but you lose out on dual fuel discounts.
BG are/were traditionally expensive, tho their online tariffs are cheap. Low users are cheapest with EBICO, but there are regional electric price variations. Possible price reduction in Sept.
BG seem to be in an administrative muddle.

You get £15 cashbook with this site, perhaps more by using Quidco.0
