Pre-exchange checklist

Options
Wondering if there's one of these floating around out there somewhere.

I keep reading questions such as those about property condition and other nasty surprises where the answer is 'before exchange, you should have done ____'

Fingers, toes, and everything else crossed, at some point I might actually reach the exchange part of a house purchase and I am wondering what precautions I need to take to ensure I don't move in to find the place in a state with things missing etc. or anything else that might screw me over.

I don't know about a checklist bit I'm nearly ready to exchange and my solicitor advised me to visit the property and check the following:

All taps work and hot water comes from the hot taps
    Shower works
Central heating and all radiators work
    Burglar alarm works
All the doors and windows have keys
Any included appliances eg. hob work
