Appeal Awarded

I went for a medical at ATOS back in November, I was awarded 0 points. I went through the mandatory reconsideration with no money for 12 weeks (because I couldn't go to the Job Centre) was still disallowed and did the appeal.
I finally got back pay, but I was receiving £181.15 pw, before the benefits were stopped, when they paid the back pay it was only £133.50 and I was told only the basic amount was paid to me.
I had a letter this morning saying I have over the 15 points now needed and I shouldn't be reaccessed for at least 18 months (thank god, it is so stressful!) So I just rang them to find out if I would get that extra back pay and the guy on the phone didn't know what it was for.
Could anyone help and tell me what it was? I think the amount worked out as £47.65pw.
Should I start getting paid that now again and will I get the arrears.
Any help would be great, thanks so much.

Yes, you get back-pay of the difference between the amount paid, and the work-related amount since the initial decision you weren't entitled.
I don't recognise the figures - you must be being paid some premiums over and above the basic ESA rate.
For example, the basic rate of ESA paid during an appeal would normally be for over 25s 71.70, not 133.50.
Are you part of a couple claiming ESA as a couple, in reciept of DLA, caring for someone, ...0 -
No, I'm on my own, since my husband and I separated, I've been getting that money since then.
I did have a letter once to say I might be entitled to the carers premium he was getting, but when I rang up they said I was already getting it. Which was about £50, so I just assumed it was that, but now I don't know!0 -
It's difficult to know what type of ESA you were getting at those rates.
I would suggest you ring the department that pays your ESA, ask for a callback from a supervisor and sort out what back pay you may be due.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.
