All great points thank you. Yes, we did explain why we didn't want to pay and they emailed back POPLA codes for each of the three Notices. Interested in the idea of contacting them and saying we are prepared to go to POPLA - would they like to strike out the admin fee now - maybe it would work - or maybe no one has the authority to make sensible decisions!

If you do - and I recommend it - please do remember to state that your main appeal point will be no genuine pre estimate of loss and then , if you use the phrase twice, use "GPEOL" which will show them you are being aided.

Now go to the NEWBIES thread at the top of the forum, and using a template POPLA appeal, knock up your own be ing certain to add the fact that you have paid the ticket and the PPC has accepted that as part of your appeal point No GPEOL. Then flash it up for checking.

See if you get a reply from the PPC first, but make sure you are keeping an eye on your POPLA appeal window so you don't miss out.

^^+1^^, especially noting that the deadline date for each of your appeals is RIGID. If you miss it, POPLA will not even consider looking at your appeal, which will in all likelihood mean, as a minimum, you're going to get months and months and months of debt collectors' letters for each of your PCNs.

You must do your POPLA appeal (one for each PCN, but your actual appeal detail will be the same for each, no need to write different ones as the legal/technical points are all exactly the same).
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Yes but we do win at POPLA against G24 every time you know! :) You just need NOT to rely on the story of what happened, in fact you don't even need to put it in the POPLA appeals x 3 as it's utterly pointless to even say that bit (not joking, it's pointless). You will win at POPLA x 3 simply by using a winning example plucked from 'How to win at POPLA' a hyperlink in the NEWBIES sticky thread post #5. You'd win just by saying 3 times 'the charge is not a GPEOL' (see the NEWBIES thread).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

And you will cost G24 3 x £27, which, when I was learning my 27-times table in infants' school, is £81. The great British education system in full display, eh?

Alternatively, I liked a recent suggestion from another website, you reply to G24 demanding £10 per ticket, payable to you, cancel the charge and which will persuade you not to appeal to POPLA, saving them:

    £81 - £30 .................... oh, go on, you do the maths :)
