Energy switch delays
Continually being told to switch suppliers to save money. I have been trying to change from Scottish Power to OVO but starting to wish I hadn't! Instead of taking over dual fuel they forgot to request gas transfer. Now quoting 10 weeks because of independent gas transporter (which is rubbish as I have checked with them). But guess what they have taken my money already. So if you are thinking of changing - its not simple and can be a minefield!

But with the current regime if you are switching from the end of one fix to a new one both fixes should be honoured for the whole period - if anything, you will be gaining an extra ten weeks at the old fix price.
This does not apply if you are on a standard tariff and not on a fix - but if that is the case in 2014 then those customers have been missing out for ten years never mind ten months.
If you were not a fix bad luck - but if your original application to switch was correctly submitted by you then both suppliers should comply - you may have to ask them to override their computers, though.0
