I'm so sorry. You must be wondering what on earth happened to him but you did find him and were able to be with him at the end which he will have known. Best wishes.0

CGG, Sorry to hear about your loss. Your cat will have known he was loved. When you feel upto it please consider a rescue or stray so many are being PTS. Thats what I did when I lost my cat.0

I'm so sorry to read your sad news, CGG. Believe me, I fully understand how you are feeling at the moment.
I haven't looked at this thread for a couple of weeks as we also lost our furbaby - the one I posted about in the OP - and I have been feeling too sad to post on here before now
Our kitty had a couple of strokes in her final weeks - they really only affected her balance and the vet said to keep an eye on her - it wasn't her time yet. A few days later we found it hard to wake her, we phoned the vet and he advised that if she wasn't in any distress, and we were ok , then we should let her go naturally rather than take her to him. That night she had a massive stroke and passed a few moments later. It was horrible, but I don't think that she was aware - she didn't appear to be conscious by then.
I'm sad that she has gone, but pleased that she was with us, having cuddles and lots of love when she passed. We knew she had moments left and so we were all able to be with her, the children said their goodbyes and we all gave her a final kiss and told her we loved her before she went.
Thank you to everyone who shared their advice on how to help her on this thread. it really did give her a good quality of life up to the end. She may have only been with us for a short part of her long life, but she will always be in our hearts. She really was a wonderful kitty.Jan NSD 4/15

Aw no, Tiffany, not your little one as well. So very sad.
As you say, at least yours and CGG's pusscats were very much loved and cared for. Even though the pain of losing them will hurt like hell at the moment, there's some comfort in the fact that they felt part of your family and adored right up to the end.
Thanks to you both for letting us know.

Yes, we will. Both my cat that was PTS last Sunday and my remaining one were rescue cats, and I wouldn't hesitate to to give a home to another rescue one that maybe hasn't had the best start in their life.
