Quick ppi question

Hi all, I'm sure this has been answered elsewhere so apologies in advance! There's so much ppi info here that I don'T know where to start.
I took on a Bank of Scotland VISA credit card in 2001 with my student account. It took me years to pay off but I eventually did around 2010 and the account is now closed and shows as settled on my credit report.
I can't find any statements relating to the account so have no idea if ppi was added. What's the best way to check this?
