Hi guys back again and once more apologies for asking what may seem elementary questions, but as the man said all questions are elementary when you know the answers

OK I think it established that my electric shower is mains fed and it is an MX Duo QI shower, and I think it is 9.5kW
I've been up in the loft and there are three water containers up there:
1. my sealed immersion heater tank.
2. A large plastic tank installed about seven years ago and it is sitting on top of the old galvanized tank.
3. A much smaller plastic tank, again installed about seven years ago. And it is sitting on a platform about a meter above the large plastic tank.

Which of those plastic tanks do I need to be checking?Go in the loft and check that the water tank is filling properly and also that the outlet is not full of crud.0 -

Kitchen sink will be on the main
Turn on kitchen sink = shower stops
Therefore shower is mains fed NOT tank fed
But OP has not stated it's the cold tap he's opening. Could be the hot. And I've seen kitchen cold taps also fed from tank before.

It's the large plastic tank you need to be looking at. It could be redundant and empty. Take the lid off and see. If it's full of water, check how high the water level is. Turn your bath tap/shower on and see if it starts refilling.0
