    Meatball sandwiches?

You see, i would never buy a meatball sandwich unless i'd tasted the meatballs first.

We're going to be in trouble soon for hijacking a thread :D

    I couldn't possibly eat a meatnball nowadays,.

Many years ago, Campbells used to sell them in a tin, even the dog wouldn't eat them.
They used to smell absolutely disgusting.

I believe they still sell them.....

How can it be "a major erosion of consumer rights" when the right to pay by cheque doesn't exist nor has it ever existed?
Any company is and always has been free to pick and choose what type of payments they are willing to accept.

If the company in question doesn't take cheques there is a very good possibility that they won't take postal orders either.

Of course it's an erosion of customer rights. It is your right to choose how to pay. Even taxi drivers in London have to take seven cheques a day....

They should accept payment by goat if that is how I want to pay.

But they don't have to accept your goat if they have a suitable metal or plastic sign that conforms to endless regulations informing you they don't take goats in lieu of services supplied :rotfl:
