If it helps it's not only bankrupts that get these charges, those on DMP's who have lost their bank accounts struggle too. plus once they see your going under up goes the APR.
I've found it's cheaper to get someone you trust to write a cheque for you.

You may be able to get your bank to write a cheque direct from your account. i know when I had to hand over backpay to the OR Nationwide wrote a cheque for me. Not sure if you could do this every month or just as a one-off but worth a try?

Fortunately, my wife still has a current account - so I am able, after giving her the cash of course, ask her to write cheques when needed.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
