Hello All,
I have a RBS bank account and applied through them online for a personal loan. At the end of the application it said we need to send you an application pack.
Today I received this which is a copy of the loan agreement stating the monthly payments and APR which I need to sign and a letter stating I need to send in my last 3 payslips.
I know no-one will know for certain but has anyone had any experience or have a good idea if I am likely to have been accepted or not?
Thanks

From memory you'll have been accepted by RBS for your Personal Loan with them.
When I was with NatWest I was declined in-branch and then applied online a few months later; I received the above bumph and accepted. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
I hope you are right!
Not sure why they asked to see my payslips when the money goes into a RBS bank account. Also, I said that I get an additional income but sent no proof of that due to the fact I get paid it in different formats and at random times.0 -
Also, does anyone know if the APR is likely to change - on the blue copy of the loan agreement I sent back it stated 10.1% and monthly payments of £211?0

If you meet the lending criteria then you'll be accepted , if not you'll be declined.
The lending department will not have visibility of your current account transactions. Hence the request for payslips.0 -

Oh I understand that if I meet the criteria then I will be accepted if not declined. It's just I have never got to this stage before and sending in payslips so I don't know what happens after this. Do I just wake up and as I do daily check my online balance and see the loan amount or do they write/call/email to say it will be going in or will they write to me and say sorry not this time.0 -
RBS will write.0

Not true.
There can be other reasons but if it's a joint account, for example, it won't be assumed that the quoted income belongs to the applicant.0 -

If you're suggesting that the lending department, where online and telephony loans are dealt with, have no access to view accounts then you are 100% incorrect.0 -
Well to be honest that's not that important if they can or cannot see my accounts as they requested payslips.
Doubt I will be accepted anyhoo!0
