Hi I posted on the mobile forum but no one replied so was wondering if anyone here could help. It's a tmobile vivacity smart phone I can tick wifi but when I leave the page and go to google play for example it says no connection and when I check the wifi status it's switched itself off. Does anyone have any suggestions please .

Could be your wi-fi is switching off in "sleep" mode.
I now have a Windows 8 phone so this is from memory:
Navigate to Menu > Settings > Wireless & Networks > Wi-Fi settings> and select the menu button. Select “Advanced”. Select “Wifi sleep policy” and then select “Never”.
Depends which version of Android you have but the main thing is to get to the “Wifi sleep policy” option.0 -
On my Nexus 4 that setting is Keep wifi on during sleep, and I have it set to Always.0

Had this issue on my Samsung mini. Had to reload the firmware via my computer after backup to get it working.0

Hi I ve sorted the wifi sleep option and set it to never but unfortunatly that has n t solve it. When I try add wifi network I put the name of my hub in but that does n t make any difference and the security is on open , don t know if it should be on open or not though.
When it scans wifi networks nothing comes up. MAC address whatever that is is unavailable. Use static IP is ticked. I don t know what Gateway, Netmask, DNS1 and DNS 2 are. Any other suggestions please. It's most annoying .0 -

Yes someone mentioned this to me. They said connect the phone to the laptop but all I got was that it charged up the phone and no other options. The only update available is one where I update the storage card. It says copy update package to storage card for system updates but I don t know how to do it. Is the update the same as firmware.
