Hotpoint cashback farce

in April we bought a washing machine and tumble dryer from currys as hotpoint were offering a £150.00 cashback on the washing machine and £75.00 on the dryer... great we thought and bought both
Trying to claim this cashback is a nightmare, hotpoint requested the receipts which we sent them... hotpoint then said they require the sales invoices.. fine... i contacted currys who sent the sales invoices to me by email and i sent them off to hotpoint since then we have had no contact from hotpoint not even an email to acknowledge our email even though i asked them to let me know they had received it.
I contacted currys and explained the problems with trying to redeem the cashback from hotpoint they did say if we get no joy from hotpoint then currys would claim the cashback on our behalf.
Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and did they get their cashback

Search this board and/or Praise, Vent & Warnings - there's been another recent Hotpoint cashback thread (in that case about AO.com, but essentially the same issue - Hotpoint making people jump through hoops, then finding more hoops, then some hurdles, then a maze ........ you get the picture).
