Car end of lease - anyone had any issues?

I've never personally had a leased car, but our company leases cars for some members of staff. I'd agree with the comment about valeting the car and ensuring any damage is fixed before handing it in.
In our experience sometimes they can be quite lenient when looking for damage, other times they are more strict. However the agreement will detail what is acceptable as it depends on mileage and age, so it's best to read this carefully!Indecision is the key to flexibility0 -
I have driven company cars most of my working life. They have all been provided by a 3rd party lease company. We have always been told the BVRLA guidelines apply. Normally a visual inspection takes place when the car is replaced at end of the lease, both employee and the inspector sign an agreed inspection form. If its not noted at hand over then the company will challenge any subsequent invoice for damage or repairs. Normal wear and tare is to be expected after 3 years of use.
