Another vote for the Galaxy from me.

When we were picking ours, we we choosing between the Zaferia and Glalaxy.
The downside for me with the Zaferia was no leg room in the very back. Ok (ish) for kids but uncomfortable for adults. ALSO the pram didnt fit in the boot with the seats being used! (but it fitted in the back of my uno on its side, with the parcel shelf taken out hehe......)

The Galaxy is a different story!

Plenty of leg room all round.

As for driving, they are lovely! and because you are higher up you can see alot more.

Ours the same - 130 bhp

We chose the "Zetec" model as when we looked at them the velour seats on the more expensive models showed really bad signs of wear...the zetec is more like a tweed and wears well (especially under baby seats!)

Mr P has just reminded me that we have had 2 warranty claims in 2 1/2 years - one was a broken seatbelt holder (youngest teen was messing around with it at teh time tho....) and the other was for a sump and something to do with an oil pipe - all done with no questions asked under warraty though.

The only thing we had to pay for was the a/c unit - a stone chipped the pipe and it degassed - could happen at any time though.

The one thing that may be worth remembering is that the back seats do lift out totally in the older models - great in theory, but I really struggle to lift them in on my own as the boot is quite high up - just a thought.
Also, if you do get a Galaxy, make sure you get A/c - without it you are in a greenhouse in the summer with all the glass!

i've got a hyundai trajet which i love to bits, brilliant seats all three point seat belts. but it has to be said she's thirsty! not a problem for me as i don't do many miles. diesel option would be better, but when we worked out the extra cost versus the economy it would have taken me six years to get my money back!

I have a zaferia at the minute and love it, but we did have the gallaxy before this i and and my husband prefered the gallaxy to drive.
The zaferia is easier for shopping as the seats fold down into floor where as with the gallaxy we had to physically remove the seats.
Yes there is more room in a gallaxy but i find the zarferia a great car we fit all 4 kids in comfortably and have room for shopping ect.
Have to say we would still go for a new gallaxy though if we changed cars again.

Another vote for the galaxy from me too. I have had mine for about two years now and love it. The seats are heavy to remove, but I only really take them on for holidays when I can fit all our camping gear inside (unless I take the dog too, lol). I have 3 boys and they really appreciate the extra leg room.

We were stuck in the car for over 6 hours solid on Friday (good old M25!) and I had no complaints at all.

I have a diesel and I have driven to devon (from london) all around during our two week stay and back again on less than one tank of fuel (about £50).

    Love it.

We have an Alhambra and there are only two of us!

Most of the seats are out most of the time. We moved to Spain with it full of flatpack furniture (with the spare seats in a trailer), it is wonderful for us when we are renovating our little house next door as we can carry all the building materials and take all the rubbish to the tip; we have also helped someone else move house. Put the seats back in and tidy it up and we can do airport runs!

It is reliable, comfortable, economical and versatile, we both find it easy to drive. We love it.

It has just finished the process of being registered onto Spanish plates, and today we have paid the road tax at....wait for it...£79 euros (about £50).

Anyway, sorry to digress....just wanted to point out what a terrific vehicle it is.

we have a nissan serena, it's an 8 seater, it's a fab car, very cheap and has loads of room, the side doors slide open so you can park in tight spaces, it very high up so visibility is great, there are however some down sides with it, the middle row of seats, the seatbelts are not close fitting but there are fine with child car seats as they hold the seatbelt in place, the middle seatbelts are only a lap belts, it's rear wheel drive (this is only a problem if you don't know how to handle them).

they are very reliable, we have been all over europe in it several times, depending on your budget maybe you should have a look at them as they are probably the cheapest mpv you will get
