After splitting from him 8 months ago I went onto income support for me & my children so not been that long just worried my money will stop as I am now in rented accommodation & would loose my home if they stop my money as been reading there's loads of these sent out

Fill it out where asked & send it back. If they ask for things send them by a signed for method. That way you know they were received.

Just answer all questions honestly and return. Your housing benefit shouldn't be affected, if your income support gets stopped for some reason you can still claim housing benefit on the grounds of low income.

Have you removed your ex from the electoral roll?

Does he still get any mail sent to your house? If so ask him to get it sent to his new address.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

At the moment they seem to be just if you have a partner living there and not actually accusing you of anything. If they start asking further question about a partner and your ex inparticular you can gather further evidence of his residing elsewhere....rent agreement or mortgage information...any utility bills he has at his new address etc.

Op states she has split from ex. Surely she only need state he is not living with her, any evidence gathering should be down to them.

If someone had split from me I wouldn't be giving them that kind of paperwork.
This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !

If he doesn't ever come to the house I can't see you have anything to worry about but still good idea to remove all links with him and have evidence of maintenance payments etc.

At the moment she doesn't need to provide any proof...and it may not even come to that.
If they do require proof it's always best to co-operate and provide whatever proof she can as her money will be stopped until they have concluded their investigations....No point in being stubborn and making life difficult for yourself and children just because you don't agree with the system.

Seems odd they would have linked him purely on the basis of an internet bill to his name. Are you sure there is nothing else linking him to the house? His car details for instance?
