Advice to ignore?

Badly worded title I know, but I realise that we still see some people who still think it is ok to ignore. And I know that advice hasn't been given since 2012 in England and Wales.
However after reading one post on here I was intrigued to see it refer to Martin's advice, so I checked the main website and part way down it does say this
Now I know is says a lot of other things too about appealing, but how easy it seems to see these words and think: "oh ok, I can ignore it probably" and then as we know things get out of hand.
Is this something that the forum members think may need rewording in light of what seems to be the case on the forums? Or am I just guilty of only seeing a snippet, not the whole picture? I just know how easy it is to hone in on the words I want to see, not the ones I don't want to know about!

If you get an unfair private ticket, DON'T pay!
Don't just shell out for an unfair ticket slapped on your car or in the post. Trying to reclaim cash already paid isn't easy, so it's far easier to dispute it. You could also ignore it and wait to see if you get court papers in the post demanding payment - often they don't follow through.

Yep and MSE Marcel is working on rewording it - he's pm'd me a couple of times last week. You could send a pm to MSE Marcel & point that bit out as being particularly wrong & in need of an urgent edit - he won't mind I am sure as he has a job on his hands to change the articles to match our advice!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
