Price of patio slabs ..shocked

Hi

Looking for 150 slabs , 600 x 600 , was hoping for marshalls richmond natural , 38mm thick , i was under the impression these were `budget` slabs , but travis perkins (trade price) are £5.15 + vat each so nearly a grand on slabs...

Seems really steep , is it ?

Shop around, but don't discount ebay suppliers. I've bought pallets of blocks and OSB etc only to find it supplied by TP or another local company
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

TP dont charge for delivery but B&Q normally do..which may explain it.
Try a local independent builders merchants too.

Slabs are generally around that price £17-£20 sqm even for the budget ones....

50sqm for around a grand is not unusual.

I dont know why i hadnt considered this , i assumed £2.50 a slab roughly , especially for budget , i have found a couple of suppliers on ebay that are 3.50 a slab for bog standard grey concrete plus delivery , whic works out at about £620 all in , which isnt too bad , but of course , i wont get to see them before i buy

Ebay can be fine for stone, slabs and blockwork. I've had some cracking deals from there in the past. Worth checking feedback carefully, of course, but no real reason not to buy from there if the price is right, the description is clear, and the feedback (for similar items) is good and long-running.
