Hi
I got a Parking Charge invoice from Parking Eye recently.
Before, the thing to do was 'ignore', but now that does not seem the case. Though, I'm in Scotland so was wondering what course I should take?
EDIT: Ok, read around, ignoring them is what is advised. It seems only England/Wales are affected by the new rules.
I'm all ears for a summary of what's changed down there, just out of curiosity.

Was just looking through the letter chain I'll be receiving. I noticed I have the current format/layout page of the notice people get down in England (I presume) and not the old format (pre-Oct 2012) which Scotland should be using. Is that just me looking for something to worry about or is something up?0

POFA only applies in England and Wales, so nothing has changed in Scotland or NI - You just continue to ignore.
There has been some changes to collectors/letters but broadly, the pre-POFA letter chain thread still gives you the better idea of what rubbish to expect.0 -

Was the car park in Scotland as well as you living there? If so then I do think it's misleading for them not to have a 'Scotland version' talking about the driver only.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

If not, then email the DVLA and complain that ParkingEye are alleging 'keeper liability' on invoices regarding Scotland and it's wholly misleading to even mention the POFA2012 on such notices. Email addy for the DVLA is in post #6 of the NEWBIES sticky.

Double checked, no mention of POFA anywhere. Everything else is same as POFA version except trimmed down text at bottom of paper. Just says (paraphrasing), "as we don't know the driver's name/addy, if you were not the driver, send them this letter and tell them their details".0 -
OK so you've got their latest trimmed 'Scotland version' then! Just keep all the letters just in case (never just chuck away letters alleging 'debt' like this - keep them). But no PPC has tried a claim in Scotland and as they don't know who was driving and you've got no reason to tell them this is a stalemate for them.PRIVATE 'PCN'?
