Student money that isn't a loan?

Hi!
I've got an informal interview for a uni course at my local college next week. I'm fairly confident I will get offered a place as I have already had a long phone chat with the teacher. She has encouraged me to apply for the course full time rather than part time, even though I'm working and will be 24 years old when I start the course.
I've got an issue with funding which the teacher knows about. My parents pushed me to apply for an arts degree 6 years ago which wasn't my choice and I didn't have the ability and dropped out of. My dad pushed me to apply for a similar course the next year. I lost 2 years student loans funding for that and can only get 2 more. I'm sure about this course as I have been working for years in the same area as the course. Student loans will fund my 2nd and 3rd year. They told me there are other types of funding I could use to pay my 1st year fees.
I want to turn up to my interview next week with some proof I can afford the course and I'm serious about it.
I need about £7000.
Student loans will give me a maintenance loan. I may be able to apply for a bit of DSA due to a health condition. That's all the funding I know about and need to know what else is out there?
I'm 23 and live with my husband and no kids. My husband is foreign and self employed and student loans suggest he sponsor me if possible as he earns quite a low wage. He is hoping to be an NVQ student at the same college. We have about £6000 of savings which we don't want to use all of as we want it for a deposit.
Sorry for such a long post but I'm hoping there might be a few people who have been in a similar situation?
Thanks!!

I think you'll need to tell us what the course is so that people can suggest possible funding sources for bursaries, etc. (although the institution itself would probably be a good starting point).0
