Ultimately if Tesco stick to the T's and C's that they are an agent (which I believe they are) and therefore it is SuperFi who are liable, then to dispute this you may have to take it to court and then you have a good chance of losing.
SuperFi are within their rights to offer a repair/replacement instead - however if you explain what has happened, they may take pity on you.
