any advice/thoughts please
I took my motorbike into a small local motorcycle garage with a row rev misfire.
I thought it was a carb problem a simple strip and clean.
This did not sort the problem the garage has now checked the valve clearance, the coils the ignition pick ups, I supplied a second hand CDI ignitor.
none of these has fixed the problem when I dropped off the bike I asked them to keep me informed of the cost.
12 weeks later and it still not fixed and he wont give me a price the problem is the bike is only worth £1200 tops what do I do?

What bike is it?
As above, if the guy is stalling you, take the bike elsewhere. He's entitled to charge you for work done, even if he hasn't solved the problem.
If it's a small outfit, my guess would be that they have run out of easy fixes and have put it to the back of the workshop while they get on with stuff they *can* do. You need to take it to someone who is prepared to put more effort in (or have the skills and knowledge that these guys don't have).
If you post your location, perhaps someone can chime in with a recommendation. There are quite a few bikers on this forum who may be near you.If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0
