RTA & Pain

after being told that my back pain was due to a RTA that I was involved in 8 months ago I have been to see a consultant regarding a personal injury claim who advises that you cannot have whiplash pain for 8 months and he feels that my pain is unrelated to RTA and it is osteo-arthritis ??
Whilst I will be disappointed that I wont be able to pursue an injury claim as I wanted to use this towards treatments like Massage, IDD etc can I ask for a 2nd opinion

Whiplash pain can last for many months - I had it several years ago, and it lasted almost a year.
Google it - there are many sites that explain this, eg: http://www.bottonline.co.uk/guides/how-long-does-whiplash-last

I thought that, he said it was because it was a minor RTA0

What tests did the consultant do to come up with his diagnosis of Osteo Arthritis?after being told that my back pain was due to a RTA that I was involved in 8 months ago I have been to see a consultant regarding a personal injury claim who advises that you cannot have whiplash pain for 8 months and he feels that my pain is unrelated to RTA and it is osteo-arthritis ??

Usually this, and other forms of arthritis are diagnosed following blood tests/x-rays and/or MRI scans.
I once had a Dr who told me the pain in my knee was definately, 100% RA, but when I asked for a 2nd opinion all the blood tests/x-rays/scans turned out to be negative for any form of arthritis.
it was following this that I finally got my diagnosis of CRPS/Neuropathic pain after many years of having no clear diagnosis.[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

Not a thing TBH, apart from getting me to bend , walk on one back of feet etc
he is going to review a MRI that was taken 2 weeks ago0 -
Ask him for a referral to a specialist for some proper tests to be carried out.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.

I have been told today that my MRI was totally normal so not sure were he gets this from
I believe that I have chronic whiplash following the RTA, he doesn't as it was not a big smash but I already had problems with my back which would have left it weak0 -
I was in a low speed shunt at a roundabout about 10-12 years ago and it cause me over two years of problems due to whiplash.
Your specialist isnt much cop, soft tissue damage can take up to three years to clear up and can be more serious than broken bones.0
