Wedding Musicians

Hi all! I'm getting married in Pontefract next year and i would really like to have a violinist or pianist at my wedding.

What i'd REALLY REALLY like is a live band at my evening do.

However, cost being the issue, can anyone reccomend anyone for either?

The top one is more important really at the moment

Sorry don't know your area but a suggestion for the violinist/pianist, why not try contacting local schools and asking if any of their A Level music students would be interested in earning a bit of cash and getting some experience performing in public? We had a 16 year old boy playing piano at our wedding during the drinks/photos bit and he was fab. He was a Grade 8 pianist and looked the part in a nice suit and, best of all, he was happy with £50 for a couple of hours - a fraction of the price of professionals. Might be worth a try?

Also probably worth posting this on the weddings board where you might get more response :)
