working tax credits

I have been claiming working tax credits, for the last 2 years as my youngest son and nephew came to live with me. So i'm a single dad of 2 i have parental responsability for my newphew through a court order.
In all the time i have been claiming they have not been able to make direct payments. So i receive a giro every month instead. Because they claim the computer will not allow the kids to be added to my file. They were underpaying me so that i wasn't over paid but after 2 years surley they should have fixed the problem. My question is other than going to my MP ( yes i have been down this route and got no where fast ) And complaining direct to the tax office ( every 3 months when i get a demand for payments they have made. My last 1 for £6672 for last 2 years.) Is there any other action i can take as i'm out of pocket for child care cost of over £3000. I'm really struggling to get this back.

Hi, There is a route to getting the child added. You need to ring the helpline and ask that an 'out of payment' referral be sent stating that there has been a change of circumstances and that the award amount needs to be recalculated. This probably hasnt been done before as its relatively new but it is do-able. If this fails, I would get on to your MPs back in a big way, as normally when an MP gets involved and uses their direct route, problems get resolved quickly.0
