MCOL charges help

Can any one help. I have made 2 claims to Halifax totalling just over £7000. I kept the first claim below £5k as it suggests we do. However, I am also claiming the interest and this has taken it to £6,314. I have filled out my form on MCOL and it has asked for £250 fee. I will borrow the money for this, but have I shot myself in the foot as the claim to MCOL is now over the £5,000 mark, or should I now wait for my 2nd claim to Halifax expire and add the 2 together for MCOL. The total including interset will be £8,724.
Could someone please advise the best option to take.

    If you split the claim more evenly you can get both claims under £5,000 as £8,724 /2 = £4,362 ;) It doesn't matter how the claim is split really so move it say a month at a time from one claim to the other till its under £5,000 :)
    Got It & Spent It :dance:
    IKEA CARD = £120 charges = £175 received (146%)
    MARBLES = £450 charges = £370 received (82%)
    I.F. = £494 charges = £494 received (100%)
    CAPITAL ONE = £981 charges = £1,489.03 (152%)
    BARCLAYCARD = £580 charges = £786.12 (136%)
    On Hold :mad:
    A+L = £722 charges (target = 147%)
    BARCLAYS = £1,405 charges (target = 128%)
    BARCLAYS = £175 charges (target = 140%)
    ABBEY = £3,220 charges (target = 148%)

    Does it matter that I have already claimed to Halifax for the 1st £6k (inc interest). Do you have to claim the same amount in court than you do to the bank or can you claim different amounts to keep it under the £5k at the courts.
