Tax credits auto renewal confusion

Hi everyone!

I keep hearing of some people getting an automatic renewal with tax credits through real time paye

I'm just wondering if everyone will be getting this or just a selected few I've heard a lot of conflicting advice and not sure what's going on

Thankyou in advance x

If you just have a simple wage type income & no child care disabilities etc then you will more than likely get a brown envelope with a renewal/letter final award in it. I have & although it is right, they have not mentioned my ESA, so I need to call them to get that reflected even though the amount is well below the thresholds.

I called tax credits today and I have had a automatic renewal and I claim childcare. Just waiting for paper work. But was given conflicting information the guy I spoke to the other week said I was old wAy when I rung today to find out if my paper work had been sent he said I didn't need to do anything as it was already done via Rti.

I'm such a worrier it's really setting my anxiety off I feel sick... Silly I know! My partners p60 is wrong aswell I've gone through all wage slips before tax and added it up and it's no where near what their saying on the p60... He was being paid below min wage half the year so it's not even close :' (.

His old manager was really dodgy and we ahd a letter through at one point saying we owed thousands in tax because he told them we have been earning over £30,000 when we wasn't even half of that

I know I'm probably worrying and getting uptight over nothing x

I renewed recently and phoned them because we will earn £300 over the top amount they have quoted for this coming year. On the phone the lady I spoke to already had our figures for last year through the RTI. It is just where they have the figures of what you have earned off the tax department. If more people can look at the form and say yes to the questions, it will free up the lines for more complex cases. Hopefully it gets easier as time goes on. I think everybody who claims tax credits gets anxious around renewal time x

I got an automatic renewal even though my circumstances changed after April. I had rung to reclaim the disability element and it was all added on on the automatic renewal 'automatically' even though it didnt seem so. Two phone calls later and finally speaking to someone who knew what they were talking about seemed to confirm the amount showing was correct.
Still apprehensive though, but all seems ok. They said I should get a letter confirming the disability award but still waiting for that a month later.
