Sadly the new school holidays have put an end to the odd days off. One parent at my son's school got a £120 fine for starting a weekend a day early (£60 per parent). They did try to tell a fib that the child was ill.. but there son was quick to tell all his friends and teachers about the trip.0 -

Yes, that's the trouble when trying to get kids to lie! We were quite upfront about our days out, the teachers were fine and no-one made any fuss at all. But that was 10 years ago."I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
