    Morning all,
Hope you all had a good bank holiday. We went to Bexhill on Saturday to see the Classic cars at the Bexhill 100, lovely sunny day. I went on my scooter, OH walked. Six miles in all!:T

Miserable here today. I have a full blown cold today.:( Just what I need.

Thursday up to King's College to start my chemo/ Not looking forward to it, but needs must.:(
On a positive note, DS and fiancee are arriving from Cumbria next Monday:T Haven't seen them since November.

DD went back to work last night after a year off. It seemed to go well. She is having to do nights as childcare is too expensive, and I can't do it anymore.

(((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))) to Molly, Jules and anyone else who needs them.
    I Believe in saving money!!!:T

He Who Knows has gone off to Ikea to pick up something for DD1 and get me a birthday pressie for my friends little grandaughter so I'm just pottering at the moment.

MOLLY how did the visit to dad go yesterday, hope the clothes were OK - HILSTEP trying times lovey and a cold too, Yukkk!!! we'll all be thinking of you on Thursday when you have your chemo, consider yourself hugged!!!

Hope you all have a nice day, Lyn xxx.

    :hello:
I did read through yesterday but it took a couple of attempts as I was quite busy so didn't end up writing on.
Weather has picked up a little today, its just grey - yesterday was nice to start and then it kept having patches of rain.
Me and OH had a lazy get up (10am) had breakfast and tootled down to Sainsburys for a couple of bits we needed - closest SM although for my weekly shop I do go to Aldi.
Plenty of cuppa's, had a very relaxing day just pottering around and OH had a little nap after dinner (full chicken dinner :D) he looked better for catching up on some sleep, although he did then struggle dropping off last night.
All my 10 ebay items sold, 6 payment is in for so I am posting them off today after work :j if the other 4 are paid for by tomorrow/Thurs they will also go out this week.
I have put some more bits on this morning, and having a route around for anything else that can go on - getting rid of the clutter and making some extra at the same time for saving away :)

Work today until 5pm, quiet/steady as usual. Tea tonight is steak pies with homemade chips, always have an easy meal after a big dinner day.

    Islandmaid congratulations :) beautiful ring.
Sistercas sorry to hear about your guniea :(
Hester I would love to see a picture of the dress once you have finished it, it is a really nice disney dress for the little ones!!

    Have a nice day.
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Sistercas so sorry to hear about the piggy.

    Islandmaid beautiful ring - congratulations!

Hilstep best wishes for Thursday; hoping it's not as bad as you fear.

Hester I too would like to know, what on earth is a frozen dress? Sounds like when I've chosen, mistakenly, to wear something strappy because the sun was shining when I got up, and now it's raining and I'm stuck with it.:D

If I remember rightly, a couple of people asked to "meet" Ted.... so here he is.:o

    Afternoon everyone

No os today apart from washing lunch pots as staying at my mums till Sunday. Might try and do a bit of gardening for her too if the rain keeps off.

Dm has told me she is worried about my stepdad. A few things have happened over a number if weeks, but yesterday he was driving with her in the car to pick me up from the station and turned the wrong way and then said he was lost. It's a journey he has done many times. My mum has made him a drs appt tomorrow as she thinks it may be the early signs of dementia. I know she is quite worried as I am as I now live so far away(230 miles).

Dgs is still in hospital, they want him to wake up for every feed, every 4 hours before they will let him home, he was still being partially fed by tube yesterday so no idea when he will come home yet.

Molly - hope your mum and dad are doing ok and that you are managing to rest a little.
Hilstep - thinking of you ((hugs))
Sistercas - sorry to hear about your guinea.
Lamewolf - Ted is a cutie.

Sorry if I have missed anyone. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.

    Good afternoon everyone :j.

I had an early start today as my hubby went off on the bus for his pre-op appointment and I followed later on to go to my 2nd weightwatchers meeting. I tried the local one last week but the meeting time is not suitable and they were very unfriendly so I tootled off to the one in Barnstaple. What a difference, a lovely chatty and supportive bunch of people. The morning didn't start well though as I got stuck in the lift at the venue :eek:. Eventually, I managed to force the doors apart and escape. It didn't put me off the meeting though and I lost 6lb this week!

I am cooking chicken breasts with oven chips and beans for tea. I sometimes have nice easy teas when I'm tired. The kids will be happy, they love chips especially since I bought an Actifry. It was the first time I had left DD14 in charge of her sisters but she did a great job and the house was intact when we returned.

Hubby's pre-op went swimmingly so he is going for his surgery on Friday morning. He has to have open surgery due to the placement of the hernia but is still expected to be home the same day. Please pray for patience for me as I am a rubbish nurse :o.

The weather has really cheered up so I am going to get some washing out while I can. Take care xx

    Hi all
    LW, Ted is so cute.
Hospital rules do vary a lot topsy, if DD had had her twins in my local hosp, they'd still be in there, but her hosp, 30 miles away & they let them out.
Candlelight, Moorhen & anyone else who asked, Frozen is a recent Disney film, I've not seen it but the DGD's are besotted with it, hence the dresses, it's pale blue satin with a sparkly cape, I've 3 to make! I must be mad.
Pics of the fabric will be on my blog later as will pics of the dresses.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.

Afternoon all albeit a damp and miserable looking one :(

Had a lovely weekend at the caravan, lots of walking and we even managed a bike ride. We haven't used them for probably getting on for a couple of years, DH uses an exercise bike everyday and so was fine. Me I found it tough (poor thighs) at first even though it is a fairly flat area!

DS2 has gone to ride Motocross (don't really know what that is, but still), he has been doing a course at the local youth club and a days racing is the culmination of all they have been taught. I still can't believe it was all free.

LW - Love little Ted :)

Hugs to all the poorly people and I will try to catch up with the threads I missed at the weekend.

Very best wishes for you both - please do keep us posted. I do have a selfish reason too - Mr LW is currently looking into the protocols of using his work health plan to get his hernia dealt with, after our holiday. When the Ex had his hernia done, many years ago, he was in hospital a week, and completely incapacitated for three months, but it would seem that medical techniques have come on apace in the last 30 years; home the same day is fantastic! And I'm sure you'll do fine nursing him afterwards.

    Afternoon all,
Big hugs for those in need and positive thoughts for anyone having treatments x
Ted is gorgeous LW, exactly the kind of dog I would have if I could
I'm off for my weigh in shortly, the scales have showed a loss all week and I've been so good it's a wonder I haven't got a halo, Aunty Flo came to visit this morning and I weigh 3 lbs more blooming typical:eek: oh well it is what it is. I will continue healthy eating, this is a change for life for me not just for the weigh ins and as dh says, your body doesn't know its Tuesday.
DGS back today and he's with me for the next couple of days whilst his mum is at work. Tomorrow we have lots of baking planned as my brother and his wife are coming for tea and then Thursday we are going to find a big park and have an adventure:D
On Friday he's off to Spain with his dad and other grandparents for a week. Their school have two weeks off for half term.
I've been out and about posted a couple of eBay items and been to the bank then my aqua aerobics which I really enjoy.
Got a nice M&S top from the charity shop and made a chilli for tea so everyone can eat when they feel like it.
I've found twitter quite useful for sorting out my a Paypal account. They where withholding 80% because they said I had a special business thing on there which I don't. My DD said post on twitter they will respond straight away. Sure enough they did and said it should be back to normal by tomorrow. Result. I want to get my hubby a kindle fire for his bday and don't want to use outer joint account.
June is a shocking month for bdays, youngest son 13th, daughter and Father's Day 15th, hubby 16th, best friend and mother in law 18th, our anniversary 26th (usually ignored as we are skint lol) DIL 30th phew. Already sent DIL's as she is in Australia. Planning a barbi on Father's Day fingers crossed the sun shines.
Ok enough waffle, better get ready for my weigh in.
