50cm cube greenhouse any good?

I am building a greenhouse out of spare shed window material which I didn't use and just boarded up with wood on my recent shed build.
I've built the whole frame with a hinged lid and sloped top surface galore and now I'm thinking if there's any point to this (just before weatherproofing the wood and bolt the plastic sheets down.
Will it actually help up the night time cold temps or will it be exactly the same inside as outside? I suppose wind lowers temps and if there's less harsh wind blowing onto the plants it should keep plant warmer by a degree or two. But any other benefits other than being a glorified growhouse?
