All irrelevant to the post you made here that gave us the insight into the world of claims management!
You told us:OnanTheBarbarian wrote:..on the information offered within this thread by the original poster, I'd probably favour taking the other party as a prospect......
And thus we saw you happy to have the client despite knowing his witness was bent!
Too late to try and justify it now.

How deep to they go into finding out if a witness if legitimate? I've not gone into any details with the cyclist trying to match up our stories, I'm happy to let him give his side because it won't contradict mine. He'll back me up that the other witness arrived after and wasn't there at the time. I'm hoping if I be completely honest with my insurers then the holes in the other guys story will show up. Worst case scenario is I pay £500 which I was gonna do anyway.0

If your witness can confirm that their witness turned up after, and it's possible to prove a connection, e.g. the witness is a work buddy, cousin, brother, friend from the pub, wouldn't that come under 'perverting the course of justice'.
I suppose the man to ask is OnanTheBarbarian, although I have a feeling he's currently busy sorting the 'Lawyers v. Justice' case.0
