blood blister in cats ear

Hey
Buddy has a huge blood blister 'haematoma' inside his ear, its a centimetre deep, and blocking the view to the inner ear. I noticed it on Saturday morning, the vet drained 4ml of blood from it, but it has filled up again. No sign of earmites of other ear problems.
Buddy does play rough with my Westie dog - largely initiated by Buddy, and he is in control of this play. This is the most likely cause of the blood blister.
Anybody elses cat ever had this? How did it settle down?
Dani.

you should go to the vet again- he might need a small op on it to completely drain the blood out and to stop the ear crinkling up as it healsCats don't have owners - they have staff!!

hi, probably of no help, but my cat has one about 1cm big. the vet just told me to leave it alone & said it's harmless but may not disappear.0

We are due back at the vets at the end of the week. Bit worried about any infection getting into it - although no sign so far.:j got married 3rd May 2013 :beer:0
